Good Morning America Anchor, Robin Roberts announces MDS diagnosis

Be The Match Feature Story - Tens of thousands join the Be The Match Registry every month. But when Robin Roberts, anchor on Good Morning America and a breast cancer survivor, announced her diagnosis with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a heightened awareness was created about the need for more marrow donors—driving even thousands more to join the Be The Match Registry.

Robin is currently preparing for a bone marrow transplant from her sister. While Robin found her sister to be virtually a perfect match, 70 percent of patients don’t have a suitable match in their family and need to find an unrelated donor on a registry like Be The Match®.
