While clinical trials can often provide alternative treatment options for patients, finding the right clinical trials for your patients can be challenging and time consuming.
The Jason Carter Clinical Trials Program (JCCTP) from the National Marrow Donor Program®/Be The Match® is your free resource to help simplify the clinical trial search process for you and your patients. And with new added features, the search process is now even easier.
Put the JCCTP to work for you and your patients
Search the JCCTP website by type of blood cancer or blood disorder as well as other parameters to quickly find the most relevant trials. New features offer even more search power:
- Save and easily access customized searches for multiple patients
- Bookmark clinical trials to add notes and to reference later
- Set up automatic alerts to be notified by text or email when new trials matching your saved searches open for recruitment
More than a clinical trial search tool
The JCCTP web-based search tool lists nearly 1,200 clinical trials with easy-to-read descriptions. But the support doesn’t stop at the search. The program also offers one-on-one assistance from a clinical trial nurse specialist, patient resources on topics such as clinical trial basics and CAR T-cell therapy, as well as access to financial grants to help with clinical trial travel costs.
“Our hospital didn’t have a suitable clinical trial for my patient. The specialist at JCCTP was very knowledgeable and able to search multiple myeloma trials across the country for him,” shared Diane, R.N., B.M.T.C.N., a transplant coordinator.
The JCCTP was founded by the Carter family, in memory of their son and brother, Jason Carter, who passed away from leukemia in May 2016 at age 28. Funding is also provided through individual donations and grants from our key sponsors.
