Giving a Child the Gift of Life

Leukemia accounts for about 1 in 3 cancer cases in children, making it the most common form of childhood cancer. Thanks to continuing advances in research, each year more children are becoming eligible transplant candidates, but this also means that more families are facing tough decisions.

To help ensure that every child has a chance at a cure, Be The Match's Transplant Grants for Kids program steps in to help meet the most pressing needs and find a match. Our program helps any child who receives treatment at a U.S. NMDP Network transplant center, regardless of his or her diagnosis. Many children suffer from rare or "orphan" diseases, and there are simply not support programs for these non-cancer diseases.
